Detail from a photo that I took in Warriston Cemetery this summer. This is one of the first gravestones I found in Edinburgh about 8 years ago when I began this photo journey of documenting these sites. It is the grave of Annie Paton Spence who died when she was only 3. I visit this stone every summer when I visit Edinburgh and seem to find yet another angle or new light to catch her in. Some things are just eternal. Rest in peace Annie!
