Another "dumped" gravestone from Monuments Cemetery that now lives on the shores of the Delaware River.

I have been trying to get a good shot of this for years but it's been covered in ivy. This past month Dean Cemetery did a major clean up and cleared many of the gravestone's coverings supplied by Mother Nature. Now that it's cleared the image I see has a bit of humor to it. It looks like the angel is pushing aside the shower curtain and coming out of the tub. I'm sure that's not the interpretation the Victorians would have wanted!

"Death Where is Thy Sting" This is from the Greyfriar's Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Another favorite of mine that I visit when I'm working in Warriston Cemetery. This is the gravestone of George Wardlaw Burnet and his family. The carved angels are on both sides of the stone.
